1956 Initial contact with the material which will shape the future of ETRA: Styropor® (EPS): moulded components for insulating refrigerators and freezers.

1962 The production of fibreglass-reinforced plastics (GRP) is added as a new business division: Silos and similar structures are fabricated.

1965 Introduction of EPS to the building sector as an insulation material, company handed over to sons Eugen and Tillo Traub. |

1975 Establishment of the „ETRA-DÄMM“ brand name. |

1992 Founding of the IsoBouw Dämmtechnik GmbH sales organisation in Abstatt, Germany. IsoBouw GmbH begins marketing activities in eastern Germany during the same year.

1993 IsoBouw takes over the largest EPS manufacturer in eastern Germany, namely Orbitaplast, the current location of IsoBouw's insulation materials manufacturing plant in Micheln-Trebbichau, Germany. |
