Product Description

• The combination of EPS with perlite insulating boards results in a hybrid fire protection / insulation system with characteristics which justify use on slightly sloping and flat, lightweight industrial roofs.
  Perlite is expanded, volcanic rock which has been rendered water-repellent and is mixed with high quality fibres and carefully selected bonding agents.
  Perlite is non-flammable, and it has good sound absorbing characteristics due to its mass and porosity, as well as good sound insulating characteristics.
  After bonding with lightweight IsoBouw EPS 100 insulating boards with a quality class of EPS 035 DAA, increased compressive strength and outstanding thermal insulation performance is achieved.
  Heat protection in the summer is improved thanks to the perlite board. Minimal weight is advantageous with regard to static building requirements, as well as for handling. Thermal conductivity is 0.035 W/m*K.

Laying

• The insulating and fire protection elements are laid in the non-ventilated roof in accordance with valid flat roof guidelines.

Ecology

• The IsoBouw V-VB insulation system offers numerous advantages, from a construction standpoint as well as with regards to ecology:
  The sandwich element is diffusive and pollutant-free. Biological compatibility is illustrated by the fact that EPS is used as a food packaging material.
  Amongst other applications, perlite is used for drinking water purification. EPS does not offer any breeding grounds to microorganisms. It does not rot or decay, but it's 100% recyclable. The long-term stability of all significant parameters must also be stressed.
